Elections for the Michigan Archival Association (MAA) executive board members will be held at the annual meeting, June 24-26, 2009. We will vote on the following positions:
Treasurer – Term 2009-2011
Conference Coordinator – Term 2009-2011
Member-at-Large – Term 2009-2012 (2 Positions)
Member-at-Large – Term 2009-2011. This is for the remaining two years of three-year terms (2 Positions)
Member-at-Large – Term 2009-2010. This is for the remaining one year of a three-year term (1 Position)
If you are interested in running and would like your name to appear on the ballot, or have any questions regarding the elections, please e-mail Vice-President/President-Elect Whitney Miller (firstname.lastname@example.org or 517-355-2330) by May 15, 2009. Indicate which position interests you and include a short biography.
Members can also nominate individuals for offices via petition. Each petition in support of an individual nomination must be signed by at least ten MAA members. Petitions should be presented to Susan Panak, MAA Secretary, on Thursday, June 25, 2009 before 10:30 a.m.
(The bylaws state that nominations must end two hours before the business meeting, which will commence at 12:30 p.m. that day.)
