Stefanie is a Certified Archivist with the ACA and currently works at a private archive in Birmingham. She has an MLIS and an Archival Administration Certificate from Wayne State University, where she served as vice-president of the WSU student chapter of SAA. Stefanie previously worked for History Associates, Inc. on their National Park archives project. She is currently the administrator of the Facebook page for the Visual Materials Section of SAA.

Karen Jania is the Reference Archivist at the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan. Karen has been working at the library in various capacities since 1988 and Head of Reference since 2002. She earned a Master of Science in Information with a specialization in Archives and Records Management from the School of Information at the University of Michigan in 1997. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Sociology from Michigan State University. Karen currently serves as a MAA Member-at-Large and is also a past president.

Casey Westerman is the University Archivist of Wayne State University. He previously worked as Technical Processes Archivist at Cornell University’s Kheel Center for Labor-Management Documentation and Archives. He earned his MLS at the University of Illinois Graduate School of Library and Information Science in 1999; in 2010 he earned an MA in English Literature from the University of Georgia. Casey currently serves as the Michigan Key Contact for the Society of American Archivists; he is a member of the Steering Committee of SAA’s Regional Archival Associations Consortium; and he is the President and Events Coordinator of the Metro Detroit Archivists League, an informal group of archives professionals which meets monthly in the Detroit region. In the past year he has been a member of the MAA’s Scholarship Committee.
Vice President/President-Elect (2014-2016)
Rebecca Bizonet earned her bachelor’s degree in French from the Residential College of the University of Michigan in 1994 and an MSI with specialization in Archives and Records Management from U-M’s School of Information in 2001. Rebecca was a processing archivist at the U-M Special Collections Library from 2001 to 2006. Since then, she has worked for The Henry Ford, as part of the Ford Historical Resources Collaborative, a partnership of The Henry Ford and Ford Motor Company Archives, first as a processing archivist and most recently as reference archivist. Rebecca has been an MAA board Member-at-Large since 2008 and is the editor of MAA’s newsletter, Open Entry. She has also served on MAA’s Program Subcommittee in past years. She coordinates the 23 Things for Archivists learning resource for SAA’s Reference, Access and Outreach section, and last year wrapped up two years of service as a member and chair of the Online Access Subgroup of SAA’s Annual Meeting Task Force.
Conference Coordinator (2014-2015)
Kristen Chinery is the Reference Archivist at the Walter P. Reuther Library of Labor and Urban Affairs at Wayne State University. She received a Master of Arts in History, Master of Library and Information Science, and Archival Administration Certificate from Wayne State University. She has a BA in History from Adrian College. Kristen has been part of the MAA board since 2007, when she was elected Treasurer. She is currently MAA’s outgoing President and represents MAA in SAA’s Regional Archival Associations Consortium (RAAC). She is also a member of the RAAC Steering Committee and Chair of the Grant Development Subcommittee.
