Michigan archivists are invited to the Walter P. Reuther Library of Labor and Urban Affairs this Thursday, August 27, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., to celebrate the achievements of Wayne State University Professor Emeritus Dr. Philip P. Mason and commemorate the Reuther Library’s 40th anniversary. Dr. Mason not only founded the Reuther Library, but is a founding member of MAA as well. Dr. Mason, colleagues Kathleen Roe, Warner Pflug, and Dr. Frank Boles, and former students will offer remarks. The Reuther Library will also unveil a portrait of Dr. Mason to be hung on permanent display. The event is free, but RSVPs are encouraged.
