This year’s MAA Fall Workshop has come and gone, but there are still other educational events happening this fall in our neighboring midwestern states. The Society of Indiana Archivists hosts its fall workshop, “Nuts and Bolts: e-Records & Digital Preservation,” on October 23. Registration closes this week, Friday, October 16. As of this time of posting, there were still a few spaces available.
From the Society of Indiana Archivists’ website:
Building on the Library of Congress’s Digital Preservation Outreach Education (DPOE), this workshop will teach you how to successfully prepare for a digital collection project at your shop. In particular, it will explore the need and process for inventorying digital holdings you have or will have, the requirements for systems to help manage those digital records, the process of choosing suitable systems, and some implementation considerations.
