The call is out for poster proposals for the 2018 MAA Annual Meeting! Proposal submissions will be accepted through Friday, April 13, 2017. For more details and to submit a proposal view the Proposal Form.

Keynote Speaker
Joining us this year as our keynote speaker will be Ric Mixter, renowned shipwreck historian, who will speak on ships and shipwrecks local to the Saginaw River Valley.
Pre-Conference Workshop
Sarah M. Dorpinghaus, Director of Digital Services at the University of Kentucky Libraries Special Collections Research Center, will lead our pre-conference workshop, “Scan Everything?!: How to Plan and Implement a Large Scale Digitization Project”, Wednesday, June 13, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Tours
Tours on Wednesday, June 13, include a guided walking tour Bay City’s historic downtown and a pub and candy shop crawl. On Thursday, June 14, join us for a tour of City Hall and an open house of the Bay County Historical Society and its historical museum!
Reception
The conference reception will be held Thursday, June 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Historical Museum of Bay County.
Registration
Registration rates include all sessions, lunch & refreshments on Thursday and Friday, and the Thursday reception. Costs for the pre-conference workshop and tours are not included; please see the Conference Program for more detail.
Early Bird, MAA Members, postmarked by April 25, 2018: $75.00
MAA Members, postmarked by May 16, 2018: $85.00

Hotel Information
Most of the conference activities will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Bay City. Located at 1 Wenonah Park Place, the DoubleTree offers scenic views of the river and is within walking distance to downtown restaurants, bars, and over 100 specialty shops and attractions.
Conference attendees and guests will enjoy free Wi-Fi and parking. Amenities include a pool, fitness room, business center, and a restaurant/bar lounge.
A block of overnight rooms has been reserved for Wednesday and Thursday, June 13 and 14. A double bed with a view is $125 per night. Standard double rooms are $115 per night. These rates do not include state and local taxes. The reservation deadline for a guaranteed room and reduced rate is May 23, 2018.
